I. Introduction

AISI314 is a kind of high-sulfur chromium-nickel stainless steel with excellent high temperature resistance and oxidation resistance. It is defined by the American Iron and Steel Institute and is widely used in the manufacture of corrosion-resistant components in high-temperature environments in industry.

II. Chemical composition

The chemical composition of AISI314 includes:

Chromium (Cr): 23-26%

-Nickel (Ni): 19-22%

Silicon (Si): 1.50-3.00%

-Manganese (Mn): 2.00% (max)

Sulfur (S): 0.15-0.35%

-Phosphorus (P): 0.045% (max)

Carbon (C): 0.20% (max)

Molybdenum (Mo): 0.75-1.25%

Boron (B): 0.005% (max)

3. Physical performance

1. Density: The density of AISI314 is about 7.9 g/cm ³.

2. Melting point: The melting point of AISI 314 is about 1398-1420 °C.

3. Modulus of elasticity: The modulus of elasticity of AISI314 is about 196-216GPa.

4. Tensile strength: The tensile strength of AISI314 is about 550-600MPa.

5. Elongation: The elongation of AISI 314 is about 40%.

6. Hardness: The hardness of AISI314 is about 170HB.

4. Corrosion resistance

AISI314 has excellent corrosion resistance， especially in high temperature environments. It can resist oxidation and sulfide corrosion， and is suitable for manufacturing high-temperature corrosion-resistant components， such as furnace grids， pipes， heat exchangers， etc.
